Fairview Care Hospital is located within the grounds of the Fairview Lifestyle Village grounds and provides a range of care and medical services including long and short term care. As an integral part of the Village it has been purpose built with all the modern facilities expected of a hospital of this nature. All residents of Fairview Village have priority access to the Hospital should they require it.
Fairview Care caters for residents who have been assessed as requiring 24 hour Hospital nursing care of either a geriatric or palliative nature. We are also available to private patients who require the same level of care. Under our contract Fairview Care is unable to accept patients who have been assessed as needing psycho-geriatric care.
The staff are central to the success of Fairview Care. All our staff are trained and qualified as required, including New Zealand Registered Nurses. Specialised assistance is provided in terms of podiatrists and physiotherapists. Together, our staff deliver the best possible standards of care and service.
The facilities at Fairview Care are second to none. All patients enjoy private rooms with their own furnishings, ensuite facilities, individual LCD TV screens and personal telephones where requested.
Meals are provided by the Fairview Village ‘Relish at Fairview Restaurant’ and can be taken in the dining room or in your own room. The meals are controlled by a dietician and nutritionist with special diets and preferences catered for.
Personal services are not overlooked either. Fairview Care offers support services such as an on site hairdresser, physiotherapy and massage, interdenominational church services and visiting Hospital Chaplains, daily newspapers and activities.
Birthdays and special days are celebrated.
